Corporate Overview

Sokoman Minerals Corp. is a discovery-oriented company with projects in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada.

Our Focus

The Company’s primary focus the high-grade Moosehead gold project in Newfoundland, on the structural corridor hosting the 5+ million ounce Valentine Lake gold project, now being developed to production 150 km southwest.

Newfoundland was often overlooked by investors when searching for investment opportunities in the gold sector. The Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Northern Ontario and Quebec and the Golden Triangle region of British Columbia attracted most of the canadian interest. We held to the belief that the Global Scale Structures that built the Island could host World Class Deposits. Intense research into the geology, review of historic exploration reports, working with local prospectors and explorers, followed by field verification of results guided our property selection and acquisition program. With our partners, we are now involved in one of the largest land holdings in Newfoundland with over 150,000 hectares (1,500 km2) of highly prospective ground. Our primary focus remains the Moosehead project.

In the summer of 2018, four months after acquiring the Moosehead Project, the company announced the discovery of a new zone of high-grade gold mineralization in its first hole which returned 11.90 m @ 44.96 g/t Au in what is now known as the Eastern Trend. Subsequent drilling returned impressive intercepts of 24.90 m @ 33.56 g/t Au and 5.10 m @ 124.2 g/t Au. This touched off what has become now the hottest Gold play in Canada.

Drilling is ongoing at the Moosehead project which will continue into 2022, and we believe that a resource to rival Valentine Lake will result from our work.
